Spring Break

I've finally had a few days off - the first since winter break way back when. I enjoyed my week off although I didn't do much! Let's see; I joined Six Flags for the season, celebrated Passover with my family, and visited my college.

I guess my favorite part was visiting my college - I spoke to a group of students about finding a job and the woes of first year teaching. The best part . . . the gift I walked away with!

I also spent some time uploading some new freebies to my TPT store so pay it a visit! Enjoy your Easter weekend and what is left of Passover!

SUPERbowl SUNDAY

All day my kids kept asking me if I was rooting for the 49ers or the Ravens and I couldn't really answer - I guess I didn't have an answer because (A) the Giants aren't in the Superbowl this year and (B) I'm more excited to go shopping on Sunday!

That's right . . . shopping! On TeachersPayTeachers of course. I'll be join a group of sellers offering 28% off on Sunday. My store will be 20% off and TPT is offering an additional 10%!

Sorry we haven't been blogging in a while - as you know, teaching is hectic and this year has been no exception!

I just recently completed a unit on adverbs and had to share the project my class did. We made our own ADVERB AVENUES, check some of them out . . .

I forgot the caliber of artists I had in my class!

Dear Dad

With Mother's Day behind us, we are next to celebrate the dads in our lives. I'm not a dad yet and unfortunately my father passed a few years ago but I still have to help my students celebrate!


What dad doesn't like coffee? I'm having my students write "Thanks A Latte" letters to their dads thanking them for all they do.


So I'll take a turn. . .Dad, thanks a latte for teaching me how to ride a bike, I ride mine every morning now and think of you when I do.
